This is a unique Museum showing the history of the Thames River Policing unit from its beginnings in 1798 to the present day, along with some history of the River Thames. A retired river police officer with many years of experience policing the river will be on hand to provide guidance and information on the day.
The small charge is to cover Museum Expenses but discretionary donations are also welcomed.
Following the visit we may adjourn to a local riverside pub or restaurant for some lunch. There are a number of possible venues near by. If there is sufficient interest Chris will book tables. Lunch is not included in the price!
For the afternoon we can extend our tour by travelling to the City of London Docklands Museum, near Canary Wharf, for the complete River Thames history story. Entry to this museum is free. Travel advice and information will be provided to those interested in this optional extra.
