Lord’s is the home of Middlesex County Cricket and once again it will be hosting matches in the Vitality Blast series (previously known as T20 Blast). Lord’s is also the home of the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) which was founded in 1787 and has the vital role of being the custodian and arbiter of the laws relating to cricket around the world. The first match staged at Lords was on 31st May 1787 and this match was between Middlesex and Essex.
The Vitality Blast matches are always in the evening and each team has just 20 overs each. They are always exciting, noisy and normally culminate in a tight finish. The match that we will be watching is Middlesex versus Surrey, two great rivals. Every seat is normally sold for these matches, so we recommend that you arrive in plenty of time for the start of the match at 18:15.
