Join us for a thrilling two hour stroll passing Holland Park’s beautiful gardens and the remains of a Jacobean mansion.
We move on to the Melbury Road Artists Quarter to admire the magnificent houses of the famous oil painter Luke Fildes, William Holman Hunt (one of the founders of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood) and other creatives.
We visit Leighton House (exterior only). This is now a museum and was the home and studio of the leading Victorian painter, draughtsman, and sculptor, Lord Leighton (1830-1896). After visiting this house we will visit some back streets of Kensington, finishing near Holland Park tube station.
