This 2-hour afternoon cruise will take us along a picturesque stretch of the River Thames, passing interesting historical sights in Runnymede and Windsor. During the cruise we will be served with a cream tea and there will be an informative commentary highlighting all the interesting sights.

Price: £27 per person. Member and guest £54.

Please join us for an afternoon cruise along the Thames through the back garden of Windsor Castle, with views of the castle, Royal Farm and Queen Adelaide’s Cottage. We will pass through Old Windsor lock and the village of Datchet and then start our return journey at Romney Lock.

During this afternoon cruise we will be served with a delicious cream tea and there will be an informative commentary, pointing out all the interesting historical sights. Please note that if you have limited mobility or any dietary requirements, please mention this when making your booking.

Our Thames River Cruise will take 2 hours and will depart at 2:45pm prompt from Runnymede. Please arrive by 2:30pm so that you don’t miss the boat.

There is plenty to see in the Windsor and Runnymede area so why not plan to spend the morning seeing some of the local sights. In Windsor you could visit the castle, take a stroll along the Thames and have lunch. Runnymede itself is famous for Magna Carta and in addition to visiting the Magna Carta Memorial, you can enjoy various artworks (including the Jurors by Hew Locke), a new path along the Thames and more.

Travel

Public transport is not a viable option for this event.

The landing stage is less than two miles from junction 13 of the M25 and there is ample free car parking next to it.

If you are coming from the M25 and using satellite navigation to SL4 2SG you will be taken to a point about 1km passed the Boathouse. The Boathouse is just after the National Trust car park in Runnymede.

Tony will email an information sheet including a map and directions to those who purchase tickets.

Booking Cut-Off Date

The last date for booking is Tuesday 11th June, but we expect that tickets will have sold out before then, so Don’t delay – book today!
