Waddesdon Manor was created to impress, containing one of the finest collections of French 18th-century decorative arts and English paintings in the world, all set within richly decorated interiors. The landscaped gardens include beautiful displays, walks, Italian statuary and an Aviary with many rare birds. When it was bequeathed to the National Trust and opened to the public in 1959, it came with the largest endowment the trust has ever received, enabling the house to remain intact.
For our visit to Waddesdon Manor, you can arrive any time from 10 am onwards. There is a very large car park with a shuttle bus service to the house and gardens. We have a private guided tour of the gardens scheduled to commence at 11:30 am and this will be followed by lunch (at your own expense). Our tour of the house will commence at 2 pm and after this, you are free to continue your visit up to the closing time of 5 pm. For more information, visit the website, Waddesdon Manor.
Please indicate on your booking if you have limited mobility – the house has wheelchair access and the garden tour will be on tarmac paths.
